Conceptual Design, Modifications, and Retrofits

Whether you need to modify an existing piece of equipment or retrofit a system to meet your evolving business needs, our design team will work with you to understand your goals and develop a design that can be implemented easily. Once our engineers have a firm understanding of your vision, we’ll present multiple ideas, including layouts, anticipated scopes of work, and budgetary options. These services can be offered as standalone designs or as part of a start-to-finish design project.

2D/3D Designs, Drawings, and Modeling

Our team utilizes the best engineering software to develop top-of-the-line 2D and 3D engineering designs, drawings, and models that best suit your needs. Our 3D scanning services make our designs incredibly accurate for easy implementation and less rework, enabling our team to create the most accurate designs and models in the industry.

With an accuracy of up to 1/32″ at 280 ft. (terrestrial) or .0009″ (handheld), the precision of 3D scans dramatically increases efficiency. Walk through a digital twin of your facility to see exactly how your design will look before fabrication or installation begins using our virtual and augmented reality capabilities. Our team develops exceptional structural designs, including platforms, catwalks, mezzanines, and stairs for industrial and commercial environments.

If you can’t find the part you need for old machinery, we can design it. With our 3D scanning services, we can create precision, custom part plans for your machinery. The Creaform HandyScan 3D delivers an accurate scan of 0.0025mm (0.0009 in) and a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 + 0.040 mm/m (0.0008 in + 0.0005 in/ft). This scanner features 11 laser crosses, a large scanning area with a measurement rate of up to 1.3M measurements/second, and an automatic mesh generation that produces ready-to-use files. Our deliverables can feed straight into your CAM software. Plus, we can connect you with a fabricator who can complete the job.

Shop and As-Built Drawings, Flow Diagrams and P&IDs

With years of experience working with fabricators, we understand the level of detail that fabricators need. Time is of the essence, and we can provide thorough shop drawings that allow fabricators to begin production immediately. As-built drawings can be illustrated in several levels of detail, depending on your specific needs or requirements. With our 3D scanning technology, we can ensure precision and accuracy for your as-built project. And if you have a complicated process, our team can help make sense of it for you. We have experience designing flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) for several different industries.

Virtual and Augmented Reality

See it in digital reality before you build it.

Utilizing virtual and augmented reality to explore how your design will fit into its intended environment can help mitigate issues and reduce rework. Terrestrial 3D scanning generates a digital twin of your environment, which allows us to create designs and models that we can then place inside of your facility. This enables you to digitally explore your design using virtual reality (VR) technology. When you’re wearing the VR headset, you can explore the project area to inspect for fit, clashes, safety protocol, and overall design feasibility.

Using augmented reality (AR) following a terrestrial 3D scan of your facility, you can physically walk through your facility and view your engineering design where it is intended to be placed or installed. When using the technology, augmented reality allows you to make on-the-fly adjustments that you can immediately view in the field. This is especially helpful when deciding between design options or engineering solutions.

Make Reworks and Delays a Thing of the Past. Find Engineering Design That Works in the Real World.

When you get designs that are difficult to interpret or incomplete, it can be a real headache:

  • Your contractors are more likely to make mistakes.
  • Missing information or data can cause delays.
  • Rework can cost you time and money.

No one wants the headaches of delays, and that’s why we make sure you get accurate and actionable designs the first time. Whether you’re working with a fabricator to create a part or working with a contractor to improve your facility, success begins with an accurate design.

When you work with us, you’ll get first-class attention to detail:

  • Our 3D technology’s unprecedented precision and modeling capabilities allows us to create designs that will work in the real world, without the headaches of reworks or delays.
  • Based on years of experience, we understand what building contractors and fabricators need to do their job with accuracy and efficiency.
  • We prioritize communication so you get what you need.
